Founder and Managing Director

Gary Lerner, founder of BrandSure, LLC is an accomplished product strategist and project leader. An expert in item-level serialization, Gary has developed successful supply chain and channel integrity solutions for more than 50 leading brands around the world, serving the needs of pharmaceutical, medical device, packaged food, electronics and apparel manufacturers.

Gary has led the creation and deployment of information systems that successfully address the needs of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain professionals. Over a 15 year period he has deployed inline, item-level, product serialization to enable counterfeit detection, identify gray market activity and eliminate fraudulent returns.

Gary has worked with technology and serialization system suppliers to establish industry-leading platforms. He has played leadership roles in the founding of several entrepreneurial ventures, including serving as Chief of Operations for GenuOne, a prominent provider of brand security, which was acquired by OpSec Security Inc. Most recently, he served as the Director of Product Strategy for Systech International, where he was responsible for establishing the company’s product road map and defining new product requirements.


Larry Krupp
Senior Software Engineer

Larry Krupp, Senior Software Engineer, is an expert in designing regulatory-compliance monitoring systems for health and safety management used in a wide variety of life-sustaining industries. Larry leads the development of Gateway Checker™, a BrandSure sponsored initiative, which provides DSCSA and EPCIS Compliance-Assurance Services. Larry has extensive experience establishing systems and conducting health and safety regulatory-compliance assessments of commercial, industrial, and government facilities.

Larry has led the creation and deployment of multiple software programs and information systems that successfully address compliance and risk management, including systems related to global packaging compliance, waste and material tracking, data quality control and verification, and 24×7 web monitoring. Larry has conducted several hundred projects addressing business strategy, compliance auditing, due diligence, information technology, management systems, and training.

Larry formed his own company, Krupp Consulting, Inc. (KCI), which has provided a unique blend of information technology products and services and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management services to industry and government. Prior to founding Krupp Consulting, Inc. in 1997, Mr. Krupp was a Senior Consultant in the Environmental, Health, and Safety Division of Arthur D. Little, Inc. (Cambridge, MA). Prior to Arthur D. Little, Mr. Krupp served as an environmental engineer with Microgen Inc. (Ithaca, NY) and as a Consultant with the environmental consulting firm Jellinek, Schwartz, Connolly and Freshman, Inc. (Washington, DC).

Larry holds a B.S. in Biology from Yale University and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering, with a concentration in Waste Management, from Cornell University.


Eran Strod
Marketing Manager

Eran Strod, Marketing Manager, is leading efforts to establish and maintain interoperable exchange of Electronic Product Code Information Services (EPCIS) for serialized information management systems. Eran is responsible for overseeing the deployment and validation of serialized information systems for pharmaceutical, medical device, food and agriculture applications.

Eran leverages extensive experience in a range of industries including IoT, open source software, semiconductors, and defense. Most recently, Eran served as Director of Product Marketing at Atrenne Integrated Solutions, an electronics systems provider. Prior to that, he worked as a product manager for Curtiss-Wright, overseeing the cradle-to-grave life cycle of processor boards, memory products and software tools. He also held business development, product marketing and software engineering positions at Black Duck Software, Mercury Systems, Motorola, Alacron and CSPI.

Eran studied computer science and psychology at the University of California at Santa Cruz and completed an MBA at Northeastern University.


Chas Weiss
Senior Project Manager

Chas Weiss, Senior Project Manager, has significant experience establishing and validating serialized pack lines and serialized information management systems. Chas is responsible for the on-time and within budget delivery, deployment and validation of serialized information systems and packaging execution systems for pharmaceutical, medical device, food and agriculture applications.

Chas previously worked for Systech International as an Executive Project Manager. Chas advised customers in serialization, vision system and EPCIS options and helped customers select solutions that best aligned with their business need. Chas was responsible for all aspects of the life-cycle from initiation phase through project closure, including project engineering, field engineering, OEM integration, project plans, risk mitigation plans, issues logs, defect logs, compliance and auditing requirements, dashboards, and status reporting.

Chas holds a Computer Science and Math degree from Ithaca College and is a Windows 2000 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
